Nitoflon Heat-resistant​​​​​​​ Tape

Nitoflon Heat-resistant Tape No.923S utilizes a specially oriented, orange-colored polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film as its base material. One surface is treated and coated with a high-heat-resistant silicone adhesive. The tape offers excellent features, including superior electrical properties, heat resistance, chemical resistance, and non-stick characteristics.

1. Features

– The non-stick surface provides the excellent properties of PTFE, such as desirable electrical characteristics and resistance to heat, weather, chemicals, and water (water repellency), as well as non-stick performance.
– Can be applied, wrapped, and sealed smoothly, just like ordinary adhesive tapes.

Does not become brittle in liquid air, does not soften in boiling water, and maintains its state within the temperature range of -190°C to 300°C. Highly resistant to chemical agents (unreactive with concentrated acid or alkaline solutions and strong oxidizing agents like aqua regia). It features a very low coefficient of friction (0.04) and high thermal stability (sublimation begins only at 400°C); it does not melt and decomposes slowly. It offers excellent electrical insulation and is unaffected by electromagnetic fields.

3. Applications
– Used for wrapping polyethylene film rolls (suitable for continuous, long-term use due to the tape's superior durability and mechanical strength).
– For endless belts on polyethylene laminating machines (downtime for belt replacement when changing product sizes can be reduced by creating a double-layer endless belt—bonding the adhesive sides of No.923S together, or combining it with NITOFLON No.923UL or 923S, depending on the application).
– For coil insulation as a Class H insulating material.
– Can be laminated with metal, plastic, or ceramics for use as a general sliding material.
