Instructions for use:

- Soak the salanganes' nest in clean, warm water for 15–20 minutes until the strands expand and separate evenly; use tweezers to remove any impurities, then rinse and drain before preparation.
- Place the cleaned salanganes' nest into a ceramic bowl. Adjust the amount of salanganes' nest and water according to your needs. Any unused cleaned salanganes' nest can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
- Add the rock sugar (included in the box) to the bowl, then double-boil (steam) for approximately 30–45 minutes until the nest has expanded evenly into large strands and is aromatic.
